Progressing directly towards a stated goal rather than compromising because of competing interests; or using the stated goal as a means to accomplish some other agenda.

The goal of the Progressive University is to create a better world through science and technology. It also hopes to create a more enjoyable world through humor, good thoughts and positive communications.
